Gorima’s Vegetable Briyani

Ingredients:

2 cups Fathima’s Basmati rice

3 cloves

4 cinnamon sticks

2 Bay leaf

4 elachie pods

1 tsp jeera seeds

5 tbsp Seafood & Veg Masala

1 tsp somph powder.

1 tsp garam masala.

2 onions sliced

2 tomatoes grated

Green beans

Peas

Double beans

Carrots

Gadra beans

4 potatoes quartered

6 sprigs thyme

2 tbsp curry leaf

2 tsp garlic fresh

Pinch egg yellow coloring

Method:

  1. Boil rice with elachie and cinnamon sticks to half cooked
  2. Leave aside.
  3. Add 5 tbsp oil to pot
  4. Add jeera seeds, Star aniseed, Curry leaves & bay leaf
  5. Add garlic cloves
  6. Add 1 onion and sauté
  7. Add masala garam & somph powder
  8. Add vegetables
  9. Add 1/2 cup water
  10. Add tomatoes
  11. Add rice
  12. Add fried potatoes
  13. Put in oven for 30 min on 180degrees

Tempering

Ingredients:

  1. 4 tbsp ghee
  2. 1 onion
  3. Sauté till light brown.

Method:

  1. Add to cooked briyani

Use Gorima’s fried onion.
